Wreck Em U has a mission of positively impacting the lives of the children in our community, by utilizing sports as a means to drive change. We are looking to bring our youth together through the game and give them the opportunity to excel regardless of their background and demographics. Our goal is to train and prepare athletes for that premier, elite and competitive level. This includes tournaments with collegiate exposure, state and area tournaments, and local competitive events. We strive to provide sports as an outlet for children to remain focused and instill the values we believe in such as; education, sportsmanship, healthy competitiveness, confidence, discipline, work ethic, motivation, drive and respect.
Wreck Em U was born from a vision to bring the opportunities that basketball can offer to every child in our region. Our head coach, Mikey Marshall began mentoring and impacting the lives of children since playing college basketball at Texas Tech under legendary coach, Bob Knight, until 2004. Mikey had a prestigious career playing basketball overseas for 9 years, 2 Championships, MVP awards and countless recognitions. His passion and love for the game continues in the way he trains and coaches. Mikey continues to use his talents by driving change and having a positive impact on the lives of hundreds of kids through sports camps, sports teams, mentorships and training.
Wreck Em U Basketball boasts former professional basketball players and Red Raiders, Aaron Ross and Curtis Marshall as our core team of trainers and coaches.
Aaron Ross played his collegiate career at Texas Tech University from 2012 to 2017, playing for coach Tubby Smith and coach Chris Beard. Aaron continued playing the game and went on to play professionally overseas for 4 years in Australia, Austria, Chile and Canada. Aaron has a passion for working with children and is a great mentor and motivator for all the children in our Wreck Em U program.
Curtis Marshall also played at Texas Tech University for Coach Bob Knight. He played professionally for 7 years, and he also continued his love for the game overseas playing in 8 different countries. Curtis was inducted into the National Junior College Athletic Association (Region 5) in 2012. Curtis was also selected to play with Team USA, in the William Jones Cup located in Taiwan in 2012-2013. His passion is teaching and helping them become the best version of themselves in basketball and life.
